Building on Character

The Ramsey’s home in Raleigh Court had the character found in many houses in the neighborhood–but their outdated kitchen had lost all of its charm. It was time for an update. Not only did they need a contractor who could update the kitchen, but one who understood the challenges of historic renovation. Pitman Construction was ready for the challenge. A wall was removed to expand the kitchen into what was once a small eating area, and custom-crafted woodwork was installed to match the existing casework. Once the renovations were completed, the Ramsey family finally had a functional kitchen with a design that had all the character of the rest of the house.
